Who
We Are

The Trainers and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) is a pioneering occupational and national trade union representing the interests of employees in tertiary education, technical and vocational training, research institutions, and allied support services across Botswana.

Founded on the legacy of the Association of Botswana Tertiary Lecturers (ABOTEL) in 1990, TAWU has evolved into a transformative labor movement that now serves over 2,500 members in 85 public and private institutions, uniting trainers, researchers, consultants, and administrative staff in both public and private tertiary institutions
